Accessibility Statement

GS1 Italy is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Law of 9 January 2004, n. 4.
This accessibility statement applies to https://interno1.gs1it.org/

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in appendix A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for non-compliance with the Law of 9 January 2004, n. 4
In order to prepare this accessibility statement, we considered WCAG 2.1 standards and the user experience of a test panel consisting of people with different disabilities who tested the website. They made use of assistive technologies such as leading screen readers (Jaws, NVDA or VoiceOver), the purpose of which is to interpret page content by representing it as vocal output.
Test results show that some users may experience difficulties in using some pages or functions of this website, as they are only partially accessible.
We indicate below the non-compliance and success criteria violated:

1.1.1 Non-text Content: some images on the website do not have alternative text as, for example, in HOMEPAGE.

1.2.1 Audio-only and Video-only: some videos without any audio description have been found.

1.3.1 Info and Relationships: on the website, some input fields appear to be without a label. For example, on the DIGITAL LIBRARY page.

1.4.1 Use of colour: Not underlined links are present on the website. Links should always be underlined so that they are distinguishable from plain text.

1.4.3 Contrast (minimum): the minimal contrast between the foreground texts and the background is not always sufficient; an example is the text in light orange on a white background in HOMEPAGE. In addition, there are some texts overlapped with inconsistent backgrounds. Such overlapping does not guarantee full readability of the content.

2.1.1 Keyboard: the website is navigable by keyboard; however, some elements cannot be reached.

2.2.2 Pause, stop, hide: on the website there are automatic animations such as, for example, in the HOMEPAGE.

2.4.1 Bypass Blocks: there are no skip blocks links on the website.

2.4.2 Page titled: on some pages of the website the title tag that defines the title is not defined, for example, in the BOOK A TOUR page.

2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context): some generic links are present on the website, e.g., “Select.” In addition, some empty links have been found.

2.4.6 Headings and Labels: on the pages of the website, there are empty header levels, for example, in the page FOR YOUR COMPANY.

2.4.7 Focus Visible: the focus is not always visible.

3.3.1 Error Identification: On the BOOK A TOUR page, the identification of the cause of error may not be understood by some users.

3.3.2 Labels or Instructions: Some empty links have been found on the website. In addition, the purpose of some labels may not be understood by all categories of users.

4.1.2 Name, Role, Value: navigating with a keyboard or screen reader, some elements are not intercepted such as, for example, the calendar to book a tour.

Finally, it should be noted that some PDF documents downloadable from the website are partially readable for users using screen readers because they lack hierarchical structure (table of contents, headings, internal links) and text alternatives.
